Dana Vannatta
Founder & CEO
Hometown: Carmel, Indiana Title: Owner/Manager
Long before Dana received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indiana State, he began his love of music and sound equipment. His educational background enhances his natural love for the high end custom audio-video industry. With over thirty years of experience in the custom audio-video industry, Dana has worked for several other companies so when he started Specialty Electronics in February of 2003, he knew exactly how he didn’t want to do business. His experiences confirmed that the only way to have a successful company was to concentrate on the client and to keep
customer service at a top-notch level. Each system he designs and his crew installs is unique to that client and matches their lifestyle.
Betsy Vannatta
Lighting and Shades
Hometown: Hampton Bays, NY
With a B.S. degree in Interior Design from Philadelphia University and 15 years experience working for local builders, Betsy brings her unique background in design, organizational style and understanding of the building process to the company. She is the qualifier for Lutron Homeworks and Lutron Sivoia Shades for the company and handles all sales and service for these products. Her many responsibilities include AutoCADD drawings, marketing and overseeing the business operations.
Jaime Pelosi
In house Operations Manager
After graduating from the University of West Florida, and spending some time in Japan and China, Jamie joined our team in 2013 with a background in IT services and customer support. He has always had a passion for technology the ever expanding “IoT” world since building his first computer as a young teenager. He is the touchstone for many of our Clients, constantly striving to help troubleshoot and explain the ever changing systems, services, and providers.
